The UNECE Working Party on Regulatory Cooperation and Standardization Policies (WP.6)

The UNECE Working Party on Regulatory Cooperation and Standardization Policies (WP.6) was established within the United Nations Committee on Trade as a forum for dialogue among all of the interested subjects (for example regulators, policy makers, etc.) concerning a wide range of issues, including technical regulations, standardization, conformity assessment, metrology and market surveillance.

The Working Party makes recommendations that promote regulatory policies to protect the health and safety of consumer and workers, and preserve our natural environment, without creating unnecessary barriers to trade and investment. Recommendations are available on the WP.6 websites.

These recommendations and more detailed information about WP.6 are available on the following websites: http://www.unece.org/trade/wp6/welcome.htm

ÚNMZ participates also in work of WP.6`s subgroups, namely in teams operating in Advisory Group on Market Surveillance (MARS), Standardization And Regulatory Techniques Group (START) and in Initiative on Education on Standardization.
