Seminar to strengthen the use of Eurocodes in practice

On April 4, 2019, a seminar on "Structural analysis and design software for Eurocodes application" was held at the Technical University in Chisinau, which was realized within the framework of the project financed from the Foreign Development Cooperation of the Czech Republic "Implementation of Eurocodes in the Republic of Moldova" implemented by UNMZ. The main aim of the seminar, which was attended mainly by students and teachers of the Department of Construction and Geodesy of the Technical University and representatives of design offices, was to acquaint with the software developed by the Czech-German company Dlubal Software, s.r.o to perform complex calculations, their modifications and analyses according to Eurocodes, including practical examples of its use. As a part of the project, the Technical University was granted a free license for three years of use of the software for teaching purposes, with the possibility of its subsequent extension. The seminar was followed by practical training of its future users, students and teachers.
